For Stretto di Messina CEO, Pietro Ciucci, the approval of the final design for the Messina Strait Bridge by the Environmental Impact Assessment Technical Committee of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE): “marks an important step forward for the project and construction of the bridge. The Committee has done a great job in examining such a complex project as the Messina Strait Bridge within the legal deadline. Now we’ll focus on the related conditions, which will be evaluated very carefully, bearing in mind that the phased detailed design will facilitate implementation”.
