The first meeting of the Board of Directors of Stretto di Messina SpA, chaired by Giuseppe Recchi, and attended by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, was held today.

The Meeting approved the assignment of powers, giving the Chairman the task of maintaining relations with authorities, bodies and institutions, in agreement and coordination with the Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Executive Officer, Pietro Ciucci, has been granted all powers of ordinary and extraordinary management of the Company, as required to achieve the business purpose, except for the powers assigned to the Chairman, matters reserved for the Board of Directors, and matters that by law cannot be delegated.

The Chief Executive Officer outlined the state of progress of the activities already started for the construction of the Strait of Messina Bridge, and the timeframe of activities aimed at achieving the goal set by law to approve the detailed design by July 2024, leading to the immediate commencement of work.
