The Digital Mailbox is a tool provided for under Law Decree 35/2023.
The Digital Mailbox aims to dematerialise communication between the parties and facilitate access to documents for the people involved in the compulsory purchase process for construction of the Strait of Messina Bridge. 
It is an innovative tool that can be utilised by users voluntarily: from 10 June 2024, people involved in the compulsory purchase process have been able to request the tool’s activation and use via a form available on Stretto di Messina’s website. Support for anyone wishing to use the Digital Mailbox is provided by a helpdesk open from Monday to Friday on freephone 800766472.
This is another example of how the Strait of Messina Bridge project is using innovation, launching an application dematerialising a complex procedure such as a compulsory purchase scheme.
