The audit, conducted today by the Court\u2019s central division, related to the addendum to the concession arrangement entered into by Stretto di Messina with the grantor, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.<\/p><p>The Chairman of Stretto di Messina,\u00a0<strong>Giuseppe Recchi<\/strong>, noted that: \u201cI don\u2019t consider this to be a new act as the issues dealt with are closely linked. We have decided to call a Board of Directors\u2019 meeting for 25 November to examine the situation whilst waiting to know the Court of Auditors\u2019 reasoning, which should be published in the coming days.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cWe expected the Court of Auditors to refuse registration,\u201d said Stretto di Messina\u2019s CEO, <strong>Pietro Ciucci<\/strong>, \u201cas the concession arrangement is functionally tied to the CIPESS resolution approving the final design for the bridge dated 6 August, which the Court refused to register on 29 October. We are waiting to know the reasons for both decisions. We are certain that all the additional information required will be forthcoming from the relevant government bodies, with Stretto di Messina playing a full part in the process.
